Kathy is a lifelong educator and an Arizona native. She has taught a wide variety of Social Studies subjects including U.S. History, Dual Enrollment History, American Government, Economics, Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics, and Advanced Placement Microeconomics. She also served as Social Studies Department Chair, District Social Studies Curriculum and Instruction Specialist, and a leader in a district-wide technology integration.
Prior to becoming ACEE’s Director of Student Programs, Kathy worked with ACEE as a Financial Fitness for Life trainer and a teacher advisor. Among the many accomplishments and awards she achieved, Kathy was named Deer Valley Unified School District Teacher of the Year. Kathy has a Bachelor’s of Science in History Education from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Kathy has dedicated her career to education in Arizona and is passionate about providing relevant, engaging opportunities for students in grades K-12 to learn and experience economic education and financial literacy.
