Personal Finance Challenge

The Personal Finance Challenge (PFC) invites teachers to engage their students in an academic competition showcasing student’s knowledge of personal finance. This is a fun and competitive way to engage students more fully in their learning while assessing how well they are meeting financial literacy standards.

The competition is open to all middle and high school students who have taken an economics or economics-related course in school. There is no fee to participate.

Student teams of 3 or 4 take a 30-question test during the online testing period.  The top-scoring teams from the online testing round of each division will compete in an exciting, fast-paced, online Quiz Bowl.

The 2026 Personal Finance Challenge Finals were held on April 17, 2026, at Mesa Community College, Red Mountain Campus. Congratulations to all participating students, and thank you to the educators and volunteers who made the event possible. View results below. Information for the 2027 Personal Finance Challenge will be posted soon.
