Q: How has your family and cultural background shaped the person you want to become?
My family is a big part of who I am. I am blessed to have such amazing people around me. Growing up with a single mom who worked part-time and my father encouraging me to know and learn my culture, has shaped me into the person I am today.
As I got older I realized and saw I could do anything, and the color of my skin would inspire other little girls who look like me to follow in my footsteps.
The person I am today is someone who helps others, not only those who are black, but everyone in need as it is the right thing to do.
Q: What makes ACEE significant in your perspective?
ACEE is such an amazing organization. I am in the new program called Invest in Girls. It has given me amazing opportunities to learn about money and ask important questions to improve myself, as well as expand my knowledge of finances. Being able to connect with other women and young ladies eager to learn and share their knowledge of finances has been so impactful. I am looking forward to continuing to learn with this wonderful program.
