Using the Economic Way of Thinking and stories of rescue and resistance during the Holocaust, this session will help educators to connect and integrate economic principles to the heroic choices of the few that were willing to help. Interactive virtual and in-person activities and resources from multiple perspectives will be highlighted for educator use. All lessons are aligned with the AZ History and Social Science Standards and the AZ State Board of Education’s rules on Holocaust and genocide education.
Due to the interactive nature of the presentation, all participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.
Participants will be eligible for 2.5 hours of professional development credit.
