Being aware of what a credit score is and how it works is an important part of becoming financially literate. The concept of credit, loans, credit cards, and credit scores can be tricky to understand — which is why we are here to help. Join ACEE and Intuit for Education for a 3-hour in-person workshop to equip teachers with practical tools and resources to effectively teach credit concepts.
Participants will be introduced to Intuit Education’s free resources including interactive lessons and Credit Karma simulations which bring credit scores, borrowing, and financial decision-making to life for students. Each lesson includes video clips, slide decks, activities, and extension options perfect for students. Participants will also venture into ACEE Money Minutes, slide decks prepared to introduce financial concepts to students while reinforcing their math skills. (Money Minutes are an approved resource for the Seal of Personal Finance.)
This workshop is made available to teachers through the generous support of Intuit for Education and the Council for Economic Education. Participants will be eligible for 3 hours of professional development credit and a travel stipend.
Due to the nature of several workshop activities, participants will be required to have a technology device that can connect to the Internet.
Travel stipends are available for participants who attend the workshop and complete the workshop evaluation ($20 – Maricopa County, $40 – all other counties).
**Cancellations within 10 days of ACEE in-person workshops will not be eligible for registration fee refunds.
