Looking for an end-of-year project that requires financial decision-making and critical thinking for students? Join us for a look at “Life in the United States: A Family Finance Spending Plan simulation.” Students are assigned an individual or family, read about their current situation including employment, income, values, and financial habits, and develop a spending plan to help this household meet their goals. The simulation also presents real-life obstacles to the participants with credit card statements and chance cards. The simulation also includes reflection questions and a choice board for students to showcase their learning.
Due to the interactive nature of the presentation, all participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.
Participants will be eligible for 1 hour of professional development credit.
