Carolyn Jackson is passionate about working with corporate leaders to optimize the effectiveness of risk management, control, governance, and sustainability for their organizations. She is currently a Senior Audit Director at Western Alliance Bank headquarters in Phoenix, AZ.
At Western Alliance Bank, Carolyn is responsible for directing Audit teams whose assurance and advisory work covers the Bank’s second line of defense including Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, BSA/AML and Non-BSA regulatory Compliance, and Fraud Management. Other areas her team provides assurance and advisory services for are Legal Management, Environmental Social & Governance reporting, Corporate PAC, and Human Resource management.
Prior to joining the Bank in 2017, Carolyn served as Senior Manager in Corporate Audit Services at Capital One, and Bank of America (BOA) Corporate Audit where she received one of the bank’s top honors, the Platinum award, two years in a row for her work with the newly integrated BOA Home Loan Sales division following BOAs acquisition of Countrywide Mortgage.
Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Arizona Eller College of Business and an MBA from University of Texas Naveen Jindal School of Management. She has also obtained the CIA, CRMA, and CAMS professional designations. In her free time, Carolyn enjoys being a mom to her two sons, as well as participating in outdoor activities including running, hiking, and gardening.
