Bill Callahan currently serves as President & CEO of Arizona Bank & Trust, an affiliate of Heartland Financial, USA, Inc. In this role, Bill manages a Bank with total assets in excess of $660 million across 7 branches located in the Valley and will oversee all operational activities of the Bank, including commercial, retail, private client services, and private banking. In addition, he is also responsible for strategic direction and Board of Director activities of the bank.
Bill received his undergraduate degree at Loras College in Business Administration/Finance and received his MBA from the University of Iowa. He has 35 years of banking experience in the Dubuque, IA and Phoenix, AZ markets.
Bill was born and raised in Dubuque, IA and was actively involved in the community, serving as president of Dubuque Initiatives; a local non-profit economic development corporation, Vice-President of the Dubuque Racing Association, the license holder for Mystique Casino and Diamond Jo Casino, local casinos that dedicated significant revenues to non-profit agencies in the Dubuque area. He was also a member of America’s River Corporation and the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce and was the past chair of the Finance Committee of Holy Family Catholic Schools. In addition, Bill volunteered on many of the local fundraising efforts for educational institutions.
