Q: How did your family and culture background shaped the person you want to become?
My family has been a great support system in my life; encouraging me to pursue my passions. As a first-generation Mexican American, I see how limited educational opportunities have affected my family, which fuels my desire to educate myself and help others.
Q: Why do you care about financial and economic education and how has ACEE helped?
I’ve learned through ACEE how much I care about young girls gaining financial literacy. Many people, including myself, will go through life without a solid understanding of economics and finance, which can significantly impact our futures and daily lives. ACEE has introduced me to a new perspective, and I now feel empowered to make a difference in this area.
