Reimagine, Reenergize, Reinvent Your Economics Classroom, a Webinar Series
Join the Arizona Council on Economic Education (ACEE) for a dynamic series of webinars designed for both new and experienced economics educators seeking fresh ideas and strategies. This series will inspire, energize, and equip you with engaging tools to make your classroom more interactive, relevant, and effective.
SESSION 3: Decision Making Frameworks: Integrating Ethics and Efficiency
Participants will explore real-world economic scenarios where efficiency, incentives, ethics, and social impact intersect. Through guided discussion and classroom-ready examples, educators will examine how different ethical lenses—such as equity, fairness, and long-term consequences—can be applied alongside traditional economic reasoning. Rather than treating ethics as an add-on, this session demonstrates how ethical considerations can deepen analysis, sharpen critical thinking, and strengthen students’ understanding of trade-offs and opportunity cost.
All attendees will receive:
- Classroom-ready lesson plans aligned with state and national economics standards.
- Real-world case scenarios that prompt students to evaluate trade-offs, incentives, and social impact through multiple lenses.
- Facilitation strategies for leading structured, respectful discussions on complex and sometimes controversial economic issues.
Participants will be eligible for 1 hour of professional development credit.
Due to the interactive nature of the presentation, all participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.
