Grade Level: 9-12

This dynamic webinar equips high school educators with ready-to-use lesson plans that engage students in applying economic reasoning to real-world issues. Through relevant case studies, students will critically analyze and understand how economic principles can be used to solve contemporary challenges. From exploring the effects of inflation on household budgets to understanding the role of supply and demand in global markets, participants will leave with practical tools to foster deep economic thinking in their classrooms.

This workshop empowers educators to create meaningful discussions that bring economics to life, preparing students to think critically about the world around them. Ideal for all teachers, it is especially beneficial for those preparing students for the Economics Challenge Critical Thinking competition.

All participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.

All attendees will receive:

  • Engaging lessons and activities that can be directly implemented in the classroom to teach economic reasoning.
  • Effective methods for making economic principles relatable and applicable to students’ daily lives, fostering critical thinking skills.
  • 1 hour of professional development credit
