FREE

October 28, 2025

Grade Level: 7-12

This session uncovers the hidden role of economics in history. What really caused the Depression, and what really ended it? How did one shopkeeper in the North cripple the South in the Civil War? Why did everything change in 1971? Why were people miserable in the 1870s when the economy was booming?

Presented by the Arizona Council on Economic Education (ACEE) in partnership with Marginal Revolution University (MRU). The session will feature Dr. Matt Hill, Curriculum Director at MRU and Assistant Professor of Clinical Finance and Business Economics at the USC Marshall School of Business.

Participants will be eligible for 1 hour of professional development credit.

Due to the interactive nature of the presentation, all participants will be required to have reliable internet access and a device with video and audio capabilities.

Please contact Teresa Mungai if you have any questions related to this webinar.

You have to be an ACEE member to sign up for a program. Membership is free.
