ACEE Director of Teacher Programs, Teresa Mungai, has been honored with the “Friend of AzGA Award” by the Arizona Geographic Alliance (AzGA) for her exceptional contributions to geography education in Arizona.
Teresa, in her roles at the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and the Arizona Council of Economic Education, has been instrumental in expanding the reach of GeoNomics, a comprehensive geography program, to educators statewide. She has been a driving force behind co-sponsored events that have enabled AzGA to reach more teachers, enhance professional development, and influence a greater number of educators. Her dedication has also led to a thriving partnership between AzGA and the Arizona Council of Economic Education, setting an example of effective collaboration between educational organizations. Through her efforts, she has made geography education more accessible and impactful in Arizona.
