Join the Arizona Council on Economic Education and Foundation for Economic Education for an exciting workshop at Chase Field! Educators will explore engaging, standards-aligned strategies for teaching economics and personal finance through the lens of professional baseball.
Facilitated by FEE, the workshop features six interactive sessions on economic fundamentals, price theory, market innovation, careers, the invisible hand, and sports betting. Participants will leave with practical, classroom-ready lessons that connect real-world economics to Arizona standards and financial literacy goals.

Presented by Joel Miller, Interim Director of Education, Foundation for Economic Education
Joel Miller is the Interim Director of Education at Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), where he develops curricula and manages national partnerships. A former Georgia Economics Teacher of the Year and recipient of the John Morton Excellence in Teaching of Economics Award, he has 14 years of classroom experience. Joel is the creator of the Financial Intelligence Teacher (FIT) Certification and currently serves as co-chair of the National Association of Economic Educators’ Professional Development Committee.

- $20 travel stipend if traveling from Maricopa County
- $40 travel stipend if traveling from outside of Maricopa County
- 4 hours of professional development credit
